No dia 21 de março, Dia Internacional de Luta pela Eliminação da Discriminação Racial, a Secretaria de Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial da Presidência da República (SEPPIR/PR) completou 12 anos de criação.
Como parte das atividades alusivas à data, a ministra da Secretaria de Políticas de Promoção da Igualdade Racial, Nilma Lino Gomes, convida comunicadores de mídias negras, e comunicadores que atuam com a pauta racial, para um encontro no dia 8 de abril, a partir das 10h, no auditório do Bloco A, da Esplanada dos Ministérios, em Brasília (DF), que acontecerá também online, permitindo que mais pessoas participem da atividade.
O objetivo é promover o início de um diálogo da ministra Nilma Lino Gomes com esses profissionais, que têm um papel fundamental na luta contra o racismo, considerando os quatro eixos prioritários da atual gestão da SEPPIR: ações afirmativas; juventude negra; comunidades tradicionais, com ênfase em comunidades quilombolas, e internacionalização da SEPPIR, com uma maior aproximação dos países africanos, sobretudo os de língua portuguesa.
É importante ressaltar que a SEPPIR não custeará a participação na atividade presencial para quem estiver fora de Brasília. Neste caso, a participação ficará totalmente a cargo dos participantes. Mas, considerando que muitos convidados não poderão estar presentes, o encontro também será transmitido via Internet, permitindo que comunicadores de todo o país tenham a oportunidade de dialogar com a ministra.
O evento será transmitido online pelo endereço http://mediacenter.aids.gov.br/, graças a uma parceria com o Ministério da Saúde. A confirmação de participação (tanto presencial quanto virtual) é imprescindível e deve ser enviada para o e-mail seppir.imprensa@seppir.gov.br, com o assunto #MídiaSemRacismo, até as 17h do dia 6 de abril (segunda-feira).
Aqueles que confirmarem participação poderão encaminhar suas perguntas para a ministra, que irá respondê-las juntamente com as que serão feitas pelos comunicadores presentes na atividade em Brasília.
