A Grio Produções realiza, entre os dias 8 e 28 de março, no Museu Nacional, a exposição:
AFROLATINAS
Evento que vai reunir, numa expografia multimídia, parte do acervo do maior festival de mulheres negras da América Latina, oLATINIDADES – Festival da Mulher Afro-Latino-Americana e Caribenha, com os momentos que marcaram as sete edições já realizadas.
A exposição Afrolatinas recebe os visitantes com cem fotografias. Imagens que captaram importantes momentos que marcaram a história e toda a trajetória deste que se tornou o maior Festival de mulher negras da América Latina. Outro ambiente vai apresentar vinte vídeo-depoimentos de mulheres negras, que compuseram as mesas dos diversos painéis, conferências, oficinas e debates realizados ao longo das sete edições do Latinidades.
Estes vídeos e fotos compõem o rico e extenso acervo coletado através das lentes de um time sensível de fotógrafas e de camerawomen. Profissionais que capturaram o clima descontraído dos shows e dos espaços de convivência, bem como dos momentos de intensos debates e de enriquecedoras discussões com extenso conteúdo formativo. Registros que trazem imagens e vozes de mulheres negras vindas todos os estados brasileiros e também da Inglaterra, Estados Unidos, Colômbia, Cuba, Equador, Nicarágua, Costa Rica, Guadalupe, Nigéria e Moçambique.
A exposição, com abertura agendada para o dia 8 de março – Dia Internacional da Mulher, tem como proposta colocar em primeiro plano e dar visibilidade à luta das mulheres negras, que representam 25% da população brasileira, segundo a PNAD. Lutas, sonhos, cotidianos, protagonismos, homenagens, força, beleza e fortalecimento de identidades estarão presentes na exposição, que, durante vinte dias, ocupa o Museu da República.
Afrolatinas foi concebida por Jaqueline Fernandes, com curadoria, produção e tratamento de imagens por Chaia Dechen e montagem de Lina Lopes, a exposição foi viabilizada pelo Prêmio Afro 2014, realizado pelo Cadon, Petrobras e Fundação Cultural Palmares.

LATINIDADES – Festival da Mulher Afro-Latino-Americana e Caribenha
Retrospectiva:
2008 – Nasce o festival com dois debates e apresentações culturais para marcar o Dia da Mulher Afro-Latino Americana e Caribenha.
2009 – O festival discutiu a Mulher Negra nos Meios de Comunicação com uma tarde de debates e uma noite de shows.
2010 – Nesta edição o tema foi Censo e Políticas Públicas para Mulheres Negras e as discussões deram origem a uma publicação-referência, em parceria com a Conferência do Desenvolvimento, promovida pelo Ipea. Os shows aconteceram na Esplanada dos Ministérios.
2011 – Sob o tema Mulheres Negras no Mercado de Trabalho, o projeto puxou dez mesas de debates. As discussões deram origem à segunda publicação do festival, ainda em parceria com o Ipea. Os shows aconteceram no Parque da Cidade.
2012 – Juventude Negra foi o tema que deu origem a uma série de atividades no ano de 2012, trazendo palestrantes de grande representatividade. Os shows, debates e a feira afro, em parceria com a maior feira de cultura negra da América Latina – a Feira Preta, reuniram em uma semana cinquenta mil pessoas no Complexo Cultural da República.
2013 – Arte e Cultura Negra – Memória Afro-descendene e Políticas Públicas foi o tema que norteou debates, palestras, recitais e lançamentos literários e agregou, mais uma vez, cinquenta mil pessoas. A participação internacional se intensificou, com a presença de representantes de Cuba, Colômbia, Nigéria, Zimbabwe, África do Sul, Estados Unidos, Congo, Holanda, Nicaragua e Inglaterra.
2014 – Griôs da Diáspora Negra. Na programação cultural estiveram grandes shows, sarau negro internacional, performances, espetáculo teatral, moda, artesanato, culinária, capoeira, lançamentos literários, oficinas artísticas a muito mais. O festival discutiu políticas públicas para a valorização de griôs e para a preservação da tradição oral, especificamente passada por mestras negras que atuam em diversos campos e linguagens, o que se deu por meio de mesas e conferências especiais. O principal objetivo desta edição foi discutir e trabalhar pelo fortalecimento da imagem das mulheres negras como detentoras de saberes indispensáveis às agendas voltadas à construção de uma sociedade livre de desigualdades de raça, gênero/sexualidade, classe, geracional, territorial etc.
