No Rio de Janeiro (RJ), o Colégio Pedro II recebe a próxima roda de conversa do Projeto Memória “Lélia Gonzalez: o feminismo negro no palco da história”. O debate “As contribuições de Lélia Gonzalez para a reeducação das relações étnico-raciais no Brasil”, acontecerá na unidade Centro, terça-feira (28/04), às 15h. O projeto é uma iniciativa da Fundação Banco do Brasil em parceria com Brasilcap e Rede de Desenvolvimento Humano – Redeh.
Lélia Gonzalez, ativista e intelectual negra, denunciou o racismo e o sexismo como formas de violência que subalternizam homens e mulheres. A homenageada do Memória foi aluna do Colégio Pedro II, centro de excelência e uma das mais antigas instituições de ensino do Brasil. Em 2013, para potencializar o debate sobre questões étnico-raciais e a aplicação das leis 11645/03 e 1645/08 – que inserem a temática História e Cultura Afrobrasileira, Africana e Indígena nas instituições de ensino – o Pedro II criou o seu Núcleo de Estudos Afro-brasileiros (Neab).
“Na Educação Básica fomos o primeiro a criar um Neab. O objetivo é que essas leis saiam do papel e que esses temas não sejam tratados apenas em épocas específicas. No futuro, esperamos que essas questões sejam de domínio de todas as disciplinas e os alunos tenham contato com elas com regularidade”, projeta Alessandra Pio, coordenadora do Neab. Para Antonia Ceva, coordenadora da Redeh, um dos objetivos do lançamento local é promover o debate sobre o pensamento de Lélia Gonzalez para a reeducação das relações étnico-raciais. “Alunos e alunas precisam conhecer o legado deixado por ela nas lutas contra o racismo e o sexismo na sociedade brasileira”, afirma.
A roda de conversa contará com as professoras Azoilda Loretto da Trindade, da Universidade Estácio de Sá e Conservatório de Música; Fabiane de Lima Peixoto, da Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia; Giovana Xavier, da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro; e Janete dos Santos Ribeiro, do Instituto Superior de Educação do Rio de Janeiro. Alessandra Pio, a coordenadora do Neab do Colégio Pedro II fará a mediação o debate.
O evento objetiva mobilizar estudantes, professores, coordenadores e demais profissionais da comunidade escolar do Colégio Pedro II. Na programação, além da roda de conversa, consta exibição de documentário e apreciação da exposição itinerante “Lélia Gonzalez: o feminismo negro no palco da história”, composta por 16 painéis biográficos.
